A freelance project I worked on with Set Reset
the task was to create organic feeling animations
that transition into various brand colours for BIO 2023.
each colour represents a different outcome
from a series of questions the user can fill in.
The challenges
the way we achieved this was to create a library of materials,
Using the referencing feature in Houdini I was able to create master materials that could change and edit multiple materials at once.
the biggest challenge we had to overcome was how to quickly create a vast library of interesting camera moves on equally interesting forms and shapes with the ability to change colours quickly.
Another solution was to setup huge batch renders by using overrides for each Shot then using referencing to create a master render node that controls the resolution for each render and anything else that was a global consistency.
